The Custer Fire Protection District is proud to announce that our department was selected as one of the 2021 Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal Small Tools Grant recipients in the amount of $25,000 to support the mission of our firefighters by providing new turnout gear and air bottles for our SCBA air packs. With the lowest tax levy for Will County fire departments, this money is critical to help insure the safety and well being of our members and allowing us to use real estate tax income to make improvements to our station and apparatus.
